Gifts of Real Estate
Gifts of real estate may save thousands of dollars in income, estate, and capital gains taxes, while providing a substantial benefit to the community and the causes you care about.

Lincoln Community Foundation (LCF) may accept gifts of residential, commercial or undeveloped real estate that is not subject to a mortgage. A qualified appraisal will be required. You will receive a charitable income tax deduction based on the fair market value of the property, with no capital gains liability on the transfer. We usually sell the property quickly and apply the proceeds from the sale to the Fund you specify, such as your own named fund or another existing fund at LCF. If you are considering such a gift, please contact us.

Gifts of Personal Property
If you have interest in donating personal property to Lincoln Community Foundation, such as artwork, antiques or jewelry, please contact us.
