CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
Jim Lauerman is Chairman and CEO Emeritas of Bailey Lauerman. He helped grow the five person marketing communications firm in 1973 to a team of over 80 in 2015. Bailey Lauerman has gained a significant number of national honors for both creativity and effectiveness of their work for clients, including Fortune 500 firms. Bailey Lauerman was recognized in 2012 as Midwest Small Agency of the Year and in 2013 as National Small Agency of the Year. Creativity magazine, Communication Arts and Graphis magazine have all cited Bailey Lauerman with top national creative honors.

Lauerman has played a leadership role in the agency's work with clients such as Union Pacific Railroad, Disney and ConAgra Foods. He has served on the national board of Boys Town for the past three years, as well as the Boys Town marketing committee. He is a Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Counselor and past president of the Counselors for the last eight years. In that capacity, he's helped lead fellow business leaders in focusing financial support on scholarship donations for Nebraska and Iowa high school students.

Lauerman has served on the national board of the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and on the regional and local Ad Federation boards. He's a previous recipient of the Silver Medal Award, the Ad Federation's highest professional award. He has served and continues on several boards, including United Way in both Omaha and Lincoln and First-Plymouth Church. He was elected to the Lincoln Airport Authority board in 1988, served two terms and is now running for re-election in May 2015. He was awarded the Keith P. Sanders Outstanding Service Award for Outstanding Service and Leadership in Advertising by the University of Nebraska Chapter of Kappa Tau Alpha, the National Honor Society in Journalism and Mass Communications in April 2015.
