Quick Response Grants

Quick Response Grants were created to respond to unexpected needs or special funding opportunities in Lancaster County, Nebraska, where a small investment could make a big difference to nonprofits and their constituents. Quick Response Grants are broad in nature and can be for any purpose that benefits the residents of Lincoln and Lancaster County. These grants meet the need for requests where the traditional application process and timeline would result in a loss of opportunity or project, or where other funding sources were not available.

The maximum size of a Quick Response Grant is $5,000. Funding decisions will be made within two weeks of receiving an application.

Grant requests are accepted from qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and other organizations recognized by the IRS as qualified recipients of tax-deductible gifts. Grants to organizations that discriminate based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, creed or ethnic group are not considered.

Funding is not provided for:

  • Religious purposes
  • Political or partisan purposes
  • Endowment funds or capital campaigns
  • Grants made directly to an individual
  • Emergency funding for situations immediately impacting the sustainability of the organization or its programs

Contact the Vice President for Community Outreach at 402-474-2345 (or via email) to discuss the grant request.
