Partners in Philanthropy

Partners in Philanthropy (PIP) is a program of seminars, newsletters, information materials and expertise that the Lincoln Community Foundation makes available to legal, financial and estate planning professionals as they advise their clients on various charitable matters. The program allows advisors to tap the full knowledge of the Foundation as they construct financial plans to meet their clients' various individual needs.

Benefits of partnering with the Lincoln Community Foundation

Broader perspective. The world of charitable giving can be quite complex due to the large number of issues that can affect certain charitable giving strategies. We work with these issues everyday and may offer a broader perspective to your planning process.

Uniquely tailored plans. The combination of your expertise in financial and estate planning matters and the Foundation's neutral expertise in a range of charitable vehicles can provide your clients with uniquely tailored financial plans.

In addition to our extensive knowledge of different charitable vehicles, the Foundation has expertise in, and can receive, charitable gifts of stock, real estate and personal property as well as establish life-income gift plans.

Community betterment. In those cases where your clients want to give back to the community but don't know the best way to do so, our in-depth knowledge of community needs can help you guide your clients to the most productive deployment of their charitable donations, benefiting both the client and the community.

The Partners in Philanthropy (PIP) program includes:

  • An electronic, quarterly newsletter devoted to philanthropic issues.
  • Luncheons giving detailed information on specific charitable issues.
  • Staff available to answer your questions on charitable giving.
  • Resource materials on specific charitable strategies that you can share with your clients.
  • How-to assistance in setting up a charitable plan for a specific client.
  • Sample fund agreements.
