Gladys Lux*

NARRATIVE:
Gladys received widespread recognition as an artist of skill, sensitivity and accomplishment. Her work was exhibited in Omaha, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Wichita and Topeka. She had showings of individual paintings at the Art Institute of Chicago, Rockefeller Center, New York World's Fair, Joseph Pennell Print Exhibit, Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery and other locations throughout the country. 

Gladys is responsible for the establishment of the University Place Art galleries by the purchase and remodeling of the old University Place Hall, now Lux Center for the Arts.
