Helen E. Clough*

NARRATIVE:
Throughout Helen's life, she had a deep concern for others. Her only brother, Edward, was killed while aboard the U.S.S. Arizona during the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. His death affected her deeply and, as a result, Helen was especially interested in helping young people fulfill their dreams and live successful lives. Described by her friends as strong-minded, warm and genuine, Helen always wanted to do good things. She preferred to support others quietly and without attention. Helen gave charitably not for the adoration, but simply for the sake of helping others.
