NARRATIVE:
Ralph's father, S.E. Solomon, built the first irrigation system in the Culbertson area and promoted irrigation aggressively to the benefit of western Nebraska. He also was the first editor of a bi-weekly newspaper in the region. Ralph's father was responsible for bringing 38 families from Germany to Culbertson to farm.
